2.29 Immunization/Vaccination Record

Purpose

Riverland Community College requires immunization verification for students as defined by 星空无限传媒 Law (M.S. 134A.14).

Applicability

requires proof that all students born after 1956 are vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps, and rubella, allowing for certain specific exemptions (see form). This policy applies to all students attending Riverland Community College.

Scope

This policy applies to all students attending Riverland Community College.

Definitions

Tetanus/Diphtheria (TD) (at least one dose required within the past 10 years) and Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR) (at least one dose required at or after 12 months of age).

Does This Policy Have a Procedure?

Yes

  1. An immunization verification form is provided during the admission process to all non-exempt students.
  2. 星空无限传媒 are allowed to register for their initial term without completed immunization information on file. If complete information is not on file within 45 days of the start of the initial enrollment term, a hold is placed on the student's record.
  3. Registration for more than one class in the following term(s) is not allowed with this hold in place.
  4. The hold is removed when completed information is on file.
  5. Immunization records are maintained in the student’s electronic record.
  6. 星空无限传媒 are encouraged to keep a copy of their immunization information in their own records.

The following students are exempt from providing immunization information:

  1. 星空无限传媒 who graduated from a 星空无限传媒 high school in 1997 or later.
  2. 星空无限传媒 who have been admitted and enrolled in another 星空无限传媒 postsecondary institution.
  3. 星空无限传媒 who are medically advised not to receive immunizations.
  4. 星空无限传媒 who have religious beliefs or other conscientiously held beliefs.
  5. 星空无限传媒 who enroll in one class only.
  6. 星空无限传媒 who enroll solely in online classes.
